We are currently seeking the following positions:

FT Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for the design, planning, implementation, oversight, and demographic tracking of The Barn’s in-person and virtual programs for children with disabilities, including Individual Programs, field trips, and seasonal socialization events, and provides administration and support for its summer camp. They also promote program participation via Facebook, Instagram, email, etc., as well as manage the Program Office, program supplies, and program areas including an Outdoor Learning Center.

The Program Manager administers a program-specific budget and recruits, trains and manages program volunteers, including clinical students, and ensures that all volunteers have necessary clearances. The Program Manager will also administer related goals of The Barn’s strategic plan and assist with administrative duties as needed.

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Experience working with children of all abilities, particularly children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in related fields (OT, PT, Special Education, Psychology, Adaptive Physical Education, Social Work, Nursing or other work related to children)
• Crisis Intervention and De-escalation training, CPR, Child abuse and Mandated Reporter Training—completed within 30 days of employment
• Clearances / Background checks passed prior to start date
• Knowledge of farm animals and animal- assisted activities for children with disabilities is preferred
• Knowledge of MS Office, Google Docs and Drive, Salesforce database (preferred), and use of social media
• Ability to interact positively with children with disabilities and their families
• Ability to work independently and in groups and supervise volunteers

Summer Camp Nurse

Are you an RN looking for a fun summer job working with children? Camp Geronimo offers the opportunity to work outside with children ages 6-12 with a variety of disabilities. The camp is located at 360 Locust Grove Road West Chester, PA 19382. The camp is run in a fully accessible barn. The camp is a day camp running 4 weeks during the dates listed below, Monday to Friday and the hours are 8:30 to 2:30. Our nurse maintains the safety of our 8 weekly campers and their counselors. The job requires that you enjoy working with children and are willing to work outside and near animals.

The candidate for this job will:

  • Dispense medication to campers as needed
  • Provide consultation and first aide as needed during camp day
  • Help campers with toileting/ADLs as needed
  • Be an RN in Pennsylvania
  • Have experience with children in a school/camp setting preferred but not required
  • Be skilled in medication distribution
  • Have current CPR certification
  • Obtain personal malpractice insurance
  • Pass all required clearances and background checks

2022 summer camp weeks are:

June 20 – June 24, 2022
June 27 – July 1, 2022
July 18 – July 22, 2022
July 25 – July 29, 2022
August 2 – August 6, 2021
