Individual Programs
Our Individual Program (IP) enables children with disabilities to participate in animal-assisted and nature-based activities, one hour a week during the fall and spring. Children enjoy planting/picking vegetables and flowers from our gardens, exploring nature among our 14 acres, and interacting with our farm animals through grooming, feeding, and animal exercise. These activities are designed to promote confidence as well as cultivate communication, socialization, safety awareness, and most importantly, FUN!
Each child is paired with a trained volunteer with the goals of inclusion and joy. We want every child to participate in and enjoy all aspects of Barn life. Our programming is designed to ensure that each child benefits from our Barn experiences by embracing their special abilities and incorporating them into our activities. After completing our 6-week program, families are provided with an overview of accomplishments and achievements.
